Windmill Hill (Alto do Moinho) is an upmarket development designed by a Swedish architect in the classical Moorish style.   This superb complex, which was completed ten years ago, occupies a prime position above the Old Town and beaches, which are only 5 to 10 minutes' walk away.

Within landscaped gardens there is a delightful  swimming pool with children's section, plus showers and changing rooms. From the pool terrace there are spectacular views over the whole of Albufeira and out over the Atlantic Ocean. A poolside bar with pergola-covered terrace serves a selection of drinks and light meals/snacks.

Two tennis courts are available for the use of guests, and racquets can be hired at Reception.
